It is too bad many of your followers are not as gracious and genuine as you are. This is extremely sad because she missed by one day seeing her grandson reach the pinnacle of possibilities in this country. It will be a bittersweet victory for Obama. And I hope it shows every one of us the importance of one day.

Terrible. This does nothing to alter my views or my stand come the ‘morrow, but I could not wish this own very many people, and a peaceful domestic threat like Obama certainly is not one of those very few.

In Pace Requiscat. At the very least he had a chance to see her again before she passed on.

May she be in a better place.

And BTW DH, the scummy comments are not only on here. Take a look at Hot Air’s post, where roughly 1/4-1/3 of the comments are scummy conspiracy theories about how Obama didn’t care, he only went to Hawaii to seal his records, how she died previously and they are mentioning it now just to get a last-minute sympathy vote blah blah blah blah blah.

Now, I cannot honestly say I am 100% convinced, because deep in the dark corners of my mind, the diamond- hard pessimistic cynic in me cannot completely dismiss these theories as being COMPLETELY crackpot.

However, in America, one is innocent until proven guilty. And if we will grudgingly extend it to the likes of OJ Simpson, Mumia, the Branch-Dravidians, the other assorted swine, Obama certainly deserves it. That, coupled with the fact that these claims are likely from the same guys who were in the woods stockpiling ammo during the Clinton Admin thinking (with virtually no proof) that a coming tyranny was approaching, leads me to largely discard them.

And that is why I offer my sincere condolences to Obama and his family. They could not have truly asked for this. And for that, my sympathy, if not my vote, is with them.

Neither do I. But I think the point is that issues like this put a human face on these political issues and remind us that our political differences come in second to our shared humanity and that our passions should stop short of hatred.
On the eve of political warfare (metaphoric of course) John Nolte’s write up was a civil and compassionate gesture.

Rest in Peace, ma’am. It’s a shame she isn’t around for tomorrow and Obama possibly being elected President.

What an amazing day that would have been for her.
