An Indian father has strangled his pregnant daughter and her boyfriend in an “honor killing” that stemmed from their living in the same village.
The girl’s mother expressed no regrets over the murders and is allegedly happy that they occurred.

This is just a different way of protecting one’s family. I would beat up anyone who touched my daughter — Mr. Mahmoud New Delhi Jones took a different path — what’s the diff?
Troyon 16 May 2008 at 7:15 am 3On a serious note… if you listen about a minute in the reporter notes that folks living in the same village are considered siblings and so their sex and resulting pregnancy were sinful. My first thought was “It Takes a Village.” Give me individual family units based on blood and not collective family units based on culture almost every time.
