Jump on over to Modern Conservative for an interview with the director of the terrific film, “Blocking ‘The Path To 9/11′”

And then let’s debate how Hollywood isn’t in the tank for the Democrats but is money driven.

I’m here all day.

Good interview EP. We need to have a public debate with Disney on this. I don’t care whose ass they are covering. They need to publically and truthfully explain tehmselves.

I’d be curious to know if the film’s stars (Harvey Keitel, Patricia Heaton, et. al.) have weighed in on this.

On my way over to read the interview before work. But had to drop this into this thread. It’s about terrorism, courage and movies. So posting a small part of it here today makes sense to me.

“. . .The ferocity of the left’s attacks on Bush even scared many of his conservative allies into turning on him over the war in Iraq.

George Bush is Gary Cooper in the classic western “High Noon.” The sheriff is about to leave office when a marauding gang is coming to town. He could leave, but he waits to face the killers as all his friends and all the townspeople, who supported him during his years of keeping them safe, slowly abandon him. In the end, he walks alone to meet the killers, because someone has to.

That’s Bush. Name one other person in Washington who would be willing to stand alone if he had to, because someone had to.

OK, there is one, but she’s not in Washington yet. Appropriately, at the end of “High Noon,” Cooper is surrounded by the last two highwaymen when, suddenly, his wife (Grace Kelly) appears out of nowhere and blows away one of the killers!

The aging sheriff is saved by a beautiful, gun-toting woman.”

It’s funny, back in the day, High Noon was considered leftie. Nowadays it seems conservative.

Along the same lines, will HBO ever release Path to Paradise, the story of the first WTC attack on DVD? I’m still bitterly clinging to my VHS copy.

Thank goodness I had my DVR running when Path to 9-11 was broadcast, but I would gladly wipe that disk and pay to own the official copy.

If there were any justice, it would at least be rebroadcast tonight, this time with proper advertising so that it could turn a profit. It’s a beautiful film, it works, and everyone should have the chance to see it.

I REALLY want the Path to 9-11, and NOT the edited-for-BJ-Clintoon-version. Just ordered Blocking, btw.
