Pajamas: ‘Towelhead and the Normalization of Sex With Children’

Posted by Dirty Harry on Saturday, September 27th, 2008

towelhead-on-set.jpg

My latest Pajamas Media piece is up; a column on a subject longtime readers will know is a passion of mine:

Towelhead is the latest in a years-long Hollywood crusade to make the child molester sympathetic and the act of molestation just another step in the evolution of normal, healthy, youthful sexuality.

My review of Towelhead is here.

    OT
Fireproof whch opened to $2.6 million Friday even without stars, and a weekend estimate of $7.5M even though it was released into only 839 dates. The reason why is that the studio targeted the Christian audience and hired a Christian PR/marketing firm to push the PG-13 film starring the grown-up child TV star Kirk Cameron. “Just between you and me, keep your eye on the Fireproof per screen averages this weekend,” a Grace Hill Media source tipped me. “On Sunday, I think there will be some distribution execs around town who will be asking ‘What the hell is Fireproof?’ The answer is Sony’s quietly, but most-assuredly, in the Christian game — and unlike some other studios, they’re actually earnest about it.”

God bless Hollywood. They keep calling us conservatives primordial, reactionary and antiquated when it comes to this culture stuff. Then they show us we were absolutely right.

Hope everyone’s going to a “certain film,” this coming Friday. ;) Sure would be nice to shove an excellent opening weekend down H’wood’s throat!

Yeah, but the movies don’t make money.

Yup. When Hollywood’s not busy defending terrorists, they’re defending pedophiles. You see, society at large frowns upon these scum. So what’s the Left’s kneejerk reaction when society at large vilifies something? Defend them! Speak truth to power! They’re are two sides of every story! Tell “the little guy’s” version; no matter if they’re the scum of the earth and lower than roaches. We used to warn back in the 90s that the whole Left defense of the gay agenda would eventually lead to defense of pedophilia. Oh how right we were.

Unless they are a Catholic priest, then they are evil. No, wait, they are just “repressed.”

One movie, however, was about the lawsuit against the Catholic Church and portrayed the molestation has a horrifying and traumatic event. They even mentioned several victims who had committed suicide.
And the priests’ actions were never portrayed as being the result of “repressed feelings” but just them being sick, twisted people.

Can’t agree with your point, but well-written.

    SPOILER ALERT(S)

I don’t think it’s fair to toss “Little Children” in there, though, given the way it shakes out for the character in question: He only appears to be a mere victim of prejudice up until about the start of Act 3, when we see just how NOT “cured” he actually is. From that point on, his function is as a time-clock as to how much danger the other characters (and their children) are in, and his final pathetic fate serves as one of the “lightning bolts” that forces the two lead characters - a pair of adulterous suburbanites oblivious to the destructive influence their I’m-18-again fling is having on their families/kids - to get the hell over themselves. It’s the anti-“American Beauty.”

Same thing with “Traitor”: It’s NOT a sympathetic-terrorist movie due to the major (though CRIMINALLY-spoiled by the trailers) twist as to who the main character actually is, the portrayal of the vast network of Islamofascist terrorists in the U.S. (scaries and more un-P.C. than anything ever seen on “24″ or “The Unit”) and the finale, which includes the single most exhilirating “eff you!” to Al Qaeda etc. yet put to screen.

Typical. When the Libs aren’t defending terrorists (giving us “their point of view”), they’re defending pedophiles. Anything to stick it to the “status quo”, society at larg, “the Man.” Anything, absolutely anything.

  12. StevefromMKEon 27 Sep 2008 at 10:59 am 12

Alan Ball represents everything that is awful about Hollywood. How any man could like American Beauty is beyond me.

If you read German, please look under
    http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wormser_Prozesse
the case of the former director of the children’s home Spatzennest. The Kaiserslautern tribunal didn’t agree that he was tampering around with pre-pubic girls (washing/creaming pussies, shoving enemas into azzoles). But he can again treat girls of 14 and more.
Sex with 9 year old girl is legal/tolerated with Muslims if in the framework of a marriage.
I tried to let you here a more explicit message, but something is wrong with the posting…

  14. Harry R. Wilkenson 27 Sep 2008 at 11:55 am 14

Sex with children is already normalized in many countries of Europe and the Middle East. I wanted to give you here some examples, but my messages did not come thru. Maybe they are automatically held back because of some banned words…
Well, if you read German, just go under http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wormser_Prozesse
and search for the last news about a Stefan S., who is now a cult-figure in the pedophile scene.
Sex with 9 year old is allowed if made within marriage in Iran, Saudi Arabia and the villas of the rich Arabs of Geneva, Switzerland.
This I wanted to tell you more explicitly, but I hope this here will come thru to you.

  15. Harry R. Wilkenson 27 Sep 2008 at 12:09 pm 15

My message about toleration of pedophiles in Europe and the Muslim countries just doesn’t come thru. Why?
Well, here at least the link to the trailer of an anti-pedophile movie:

And we wonder why the Islamists want to kill us.

I remember years before 9-11, seeing a report about how the Islamic middle east really liked America (at least the people they interviewed) - except its’ immoral movies. Maybe 9-11 was people like Alan Ball’s fault.

  17. Kenn Christensonon 27 Sep 2008 at 12:41 pm 17

…someone might, also, want to tip off the FBI to Mr. Ball’s proclivities.

  18. Jake Was Hereon 27 Sep 2008 at 12:59 pm 18

I think Dinesh D’Souza has made this argument. The highminded lefties, in Hollywood and elsewhere, are constantly moaning “Why do they hate us?” There’s only one response to make to that:

“Why do they hate us? IT’S YOUR FAULT, YOU FUCKING DEGENERATES! Sorry if that’s not the answer you wanted to hear.”

Most of what Radical Islamism “hates” about America is really the responsibility of the idiots who most want to appease them. Most Americans are caught in the middle — depraved Arab fanatics on one side, depraved American fanatics on the other. It really is a culture war, and the American left doesn’t want to admit that they themselves are one of the sides in this conflict.

  19. whiskeyon 27 Sep 2008 at 1:45 pm 19

Ball’s problem is that as a gay man, he’s openly arguing for a loss of any restraints to normalize various gay behavior.

“Straight sex,” is icky and hypocritical, so there should be no standards.

It’s not particularly original and insightful, and made worse by Malibu millionaire libertines who’s lifestyle does not even work for themselves, pushing the same for the mass of America.

Teens will want to have sex, it is the goal of society to control and channel those desires constructively and through involvement of parents and a larger social network than immature peers.

“Rivers Edge” is a good portrait of the Lord of the Flies effect of leaving kids to themselves, and there is an opening for non-exploitative discussion of letting teens do whatever they want without guidance. Many of the over-scheduled teens are over-scheduled because parents fear the problems of peer networks unchallenged by parents/society, and so seek exhaustion to avoid inappropriate sex or other behavior.

But hey, let’s have shock the middle class, sleazy exploitation, and a constant criticism of the middle class as inherently corrupt.

Aaron Eckhart was recently on The View, and they all soberly spun this movie to the unsuspecting audience like it was a thoughtful expose’ of unreported child sexual abuse trauma (oh, and something about awakenning bodies, society, etc.).
    There must be two Towelheads.

How about a “Hollywood Depravity” list: Che, heroin chic, incest, innocent terrorists, etc. A Pedo section can feature Ken Park, Kids, etc.

    *Names, studios, awards, in highlight*

I have lived in San Francisco - Ground Zero of the gay world - for 33 years. That’s why I’m not surprised the director of a film attempting to normalize child rape is gay. The gay world’s sole purpose is to make sexual deviancy (homosexuality) ‘normal’. And, of course, the only way to achieve that is to destroy real normalcy. (Give yourself a high-five, Ball. You bastard.)

Which explains why gays also make films ‘normalizing’ Islamofascism, communists, mass murderers like Che and Stalin, etc. It’s the classic ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ stance. And the common enemy of gays and their ‘friends’ is Judeo-Christianity. In his heart, Ball just knows that once he eliminates that pesky faith, then the entire world will be just one glorious bath house ‘glory hole’.

Don’t waste your time trying to warn him. If someone’s blinded himself to the point where child rape is no big deal, then he’s also deaf to the warning that - should he achieve his aim - the temperature of his glory hole will be a helluva lot hotter than any earthly sauna. And the attendants will all have cloven hoofs.

“Most of what Radical Islamism “hates” about America is really the responsibility of the idiots who most want to appease them. Most Americans are caught in the middle — depraved Arab fanatics on one side, depraved American fanatics on the other.”

You do realize, of course, that what you and D’Sousza are advocating here amounts to appeasement to an infinitely greater degree than anything coming from the so-called left: “Please, Mister Isalmofascist! Please stop attacking us! We’ll stop exercising our freedom of expression! We’ll reject modernity! We’ll join you in your cultural march back to the 12th Century! Honest we will!”

This reading of the foundations of Islamism isn’t merely incorrect, it’s basically a grotesque ROMANTICISM of our enemy: Islamist terrorists are NOT just people of strong traditional values lashing out at Western “decadence.” The foot-soldiers are barbaric killers infected by the psychopathy of fundamentalism; the leadership are cynical, calculating power-seekers who prop up the ‘decadence’ excuse to woo fresh crops of suicide bombers. Ceasing to produce sexually-explicit films won’t make them “leave us alone” any more than getting out of Iraq, sending more diplomats to Iran or chastizing the Israeli’s will.

You may find Mr. Ball’s film repellant, but he broke no laws in it’s creation and, more importantly, our system - the system wherein he can make a film some (likely to include myself, I haven’t seen it yet) find repellant and NOT be publically beheaded for his trouble - is worth fighting for… not least because it allows YOU to make something HE finds repellant in kind. But D’Sousza and those who parrot his work would give it all up to appease bin Laden and company.
