Obama and ACORN Sitting In A Tree…

Posted by Dirty Harry on Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Obama’s What? Who? Me? ACORN? Relationship? response at last night’s debate gave the word disingenuous a whole new meaning.

Let’s play a game.

Who said this?

“I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career.  Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

If you answered “The One” — ding! ding! ding! ding!

You know how I know Obama said that?

It’s on his freakin’ website.

Now we’re gonna play another game — connect the dots.

1. Obama has been “fighting alongside ACORN … [his] entire career.”

2. Obama gives ACORN $832,000.

3. ACORN endorses Obama.

4. ACORN puts on their Obama For President t-shirts.

5. ACORN turns in hundreds of thousands fraudulent voter registration forms that we know of.

6. As I write this, the Democrat Secretary of State in Ohio has gone to the Supreme Court to ask them to allow her to not verify over 200,000 thousand voter registration forms turned in by ACORN that don’t match up.

7. George W. Bush won Ohio by a mere 132,000 votes.

Nope, no dots to connect here. Nothing hinky. No reason to be suspicious. No reason to believe the very foundation of our democracy — the sanctity of the vote — is under assault in the 11 swing states where the community organizers who endorsed Obama — who Obama gave $832,000 to — who Obama has fought alongside his entire career — are under investigation for voter registration fraud.

This guy isn’t even a good Chicago thug, he can’t hide anything. Obama is beginning to break apart in all directions and all the Messiah’s men can’t put old Obama back together again

“Republicans are making procedural arguments about what HAVA requires; it’s hard to find an honest GOPer who actually believes that Barack Obama will benefit in any statistically significant way from ACORN-related voter registration shenanigans.”

doesnt matter if it ‘matters’ or not…IT IS ILLEGAL!!! Im glad to hear that the woman is taking action. I think all the states in play should do it, BEFORE the election.

  4. Ohio Wolverine momon 16 Oct 2008 at 7:30 am 4

    Sharon,
The woman, the Democrat Ohio Secretary of State, is fighting TO NOT take action. She does not want to provide these registrations in time to be verified (or not), and concealed them, hoping to run out the clock. Yet as a registered Republican, I had to show ID and verify with my previous state that I moved to Ohio and had a legal right to vote here.

The Ohio SofS is breaking the very laws she swore to uphold, and should be prosecuted.

OOOOOO - ACK! Sorry I misread!!

    …where’s my cup of coffee…

I don’t think the little babe can make her case. I mean what are the following justices going to sit and listen to this shit?
Alito, Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, Kennedy and yes even Ginsburg who owes her spot to the Clintons? Hell no. Of course the dumb b*tch will scream racism but will they listen? No. THis is a no brainer.

The best reporting on the Ohio fraud is by Palestra.net - a bunch of college students found Obama supporters from other states that came to Ohio and registered to vote.

The msm can’t figure out that Bill Ayers and Obama have known each other for 20 years and that Acorn is a front group for Democratic thugs.

But some college kids can find actual vote fraud.

The DOJ should go after Acorn and include some members of the press and politicians. They should all have a big party sitting in jail together.

Sharon—it’s early, and everyone is allowed one—your heart is in the right place:).

Anyone think we could get the Roberts court to go activist with this? Give the Left what they want– an “evolving, living constitution,” and find in it the right to verified elections—and mandate that everyone who votes gets their finger stamped in that Iraqi purple ink? Ensuring one person, one vote ….why should a homeless guy in Cleveland get to have four votes to my one?

It’s the least the Court could do after foisting Roe v Wade on us…..

  9. Ohio Wolverine momon 16 Oct 2008 at 7:37 am 9

And I know it was a different group of Surpremes back then….but I think a right to having your vote count is an easier argument to make than the right to abort.

  10. Stephanieon 16 Oct 2008 at 7:41 am 10

Oh yeah btw I told you guys watch ACORN…..and now Peter Fitzgerald will really start his mission. I love this….buh bah Obama…my vote counts more than your dead persons or Mickey Mouse characters.

  11. Kiton 16 Oct 2008 at 8:21 am 11

    McCain,

    Put it in your ad.

  12. Brooksieon 16 Oct 2008 at 8:22 am 12

Watching and waiting for US DOJ Patrick Fitzgerald to make his move.
Fitzgerald doesn’t mind moving even when it will certainly upset the body politic.

  13. whiskeyon 16 Oct 2008 at 8:25 am 13

Anyone putting faith in Fitzgerald is foolish. He will be fired first thing by Obama.

It’s important thus to make sure that the firing is seen by Everyone as a corrupt Watergate like attempt to cover up Obama’s theft of the election.

Republicans must organize NOW to demonstrate constantly that Obama stole the election, and fired Fitzgerald to cover up his crime.

There also needs to be ads AFTER the election, to point out to people that Obama STOLE the election and FIRED Fitzgerald to cover it up. Since it’s a slam dunk cinch like Pacman Jones going off the reservation, that the One will do just that.

  14. Brooksieon 16 Oct 2008 at 8:37 am 14

    whiskey,
You’re thinking that Body Odor needn’t wait until Jan. 21 to fire Fitzgerald ?

  15. Tommy Von 16 Oct 2008 at 8:41 am 15

As Obama says, this is another “distraction” from the real issues.

    Voter fraud. A distraction.

  16. Jings!on 16 Oct 2008 at 8:52 am 16

PATRICK FITZGERALD ARGH ARGH NOT “PETER” FITZGERALD.

  17. Stephanieon 16 Oct 2008 at 9:01 am 17

Sorry Jings but I am on cold meds. Have been for a few days. A little compassion for people with a now raging case of Bronchitus. Not that I am one to whine but geez dude.

  18. Stephanieon 16 Oct 2008 at 9:03 am 18

Anyone listening to Whiskeys rants is a bigger fool than an Obama voter. Whiskey I am so sick of your stupid rants. Just shut up. PLease. I have had it up to my ears and I am not the only person.
And also Whisthkers….Sara is going to be meeting with Hillary supporters and donors. Here comes the money. Hillary undermining Obama. Now why don’t you take your unpatriotic anti McCain the world is coming to an bullshit and stick it. You have nothing to offer, no real words of encouragement. Do us all a favor and drink the Hemlock Mojito. The rest of us would welcome the silence.

  19. SpideyTerryon 16 Oct 2008 at 9:04 am 19

“You know how I know Obama said that?

    It’s on his freakin’ website.”

Once again, proof Obama is too dumb to be President.

“As Obama says, this is another “distraction” from the real issues.”

Not just a distraction, but a racist distraction. Y’know Obama’s thinking it.

  20. Brooksieon 16 Oct 2008 at 9:16 am 20

    “Peter” Fitzgerald is close enough.
I think Peter was a senator who sponsored Patrick.
The point is, Patrick Fitzgerald is a gila monster who, once he bites, will not let go.
A President Body Odor would have to chop the monster’s head off and pry the teeth out of his flesh.
If this nationwide voter fraud conspiracy isn’t enough to interest the DOJ, that takes our troubles to another level.

  21. wfon 16 Oct 2008 at 9:23 am 21

I´m still thinking sometimes that ACORN and Ayers are valid issues but need to much explaining for most people. The one simple video clip that says it all is Jeremiah Wright´s rantings including the “Obama is a politician now, he does what he has to do”.

You could make a killer ad using only a careful selection of Wright, Pfleger and Obama´s own voice (for example, his own reading of his book praising Wright, his excuses for Wright). Edit it well and you do not even need to comment it. Putting Wright off the table is just insane.

Obama’s ties to ACORN are even more extensive than DH wrote above. (I don’t blame him, because it would take days to write about all of them.) Here is a great article, “Inside Obama’s Acorn,” with an excerpt below:

    http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NDZiMjkwMDczZWI5ODdjOWYxZTIzZGIyNzEyMjE0ODI=&w=MA==

The extent of Obama’s ties to Acorn has not been recognized. We find some important details in an article in the journal Social Policy entitled, “Case Study: Chicago — The Barack Obama Campaign,” by Toni Foulkes, a Chicago Acorn leader and a member of Acorn’s National Association Board. The odd thing about this article is that Foulkes is forced to protect the technically “non-partisan” status of Acorn’s get-out-the-vote campaigns, even as he does everything in his power to give Acorn credit for helping its favorite son win the critical 2004 primary that secured Obama the Democratic nomination to the U.S. Senate.

Before giving us a tour of Acorn’s pro-Obama but somehow “non-partisan” election activities, Foulks treats us to a brief history of Obama’s ties to Acorn. While most press accounts imply that Obama just happened to be at the sort of public-interest law firm that would take Acorn’s “motor voter” case, Foulkes claims that Acorn specifically sought out Obama’s representation in the motor voter case, remembering Obama from the days when he worked with [ACORN organizer] Talbot. And while many reports speak of Obama’s post-law school role organizing “Project VOTE” in 1992, Foulkes makes it clear that this project was undertaken in direct partnership with Acorn. Foulkes then stresses Obama’s yearly service as a key figure in Acorn’s leadership-training seminars.

At least a few news reports have briefly mentioned Obama’s role in training Acorn’s leaders, but none that I know of have said what Foulkes reports next: that Obama’s long service with Acorn led many members to serve as the volunteer shock troops of Obama’s early political campaigns — his initial 1996 State Senate campaign, and his failed bid for Congress in 2000 (Foulkes confuses the dates of these two campaigns.) With Obama having personally helped train a new cadre of Chicago Acorn leaders, by the time of Obama’s 2004 U.S. Senate campaign, Obama and Acorn were “old friends,” says Foulkes.

So along with the reservoir of political support that came to Obama through his close ties with Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Pfleger, and other Chicago black churches, Chicago Acorn appears to have played a major role in Obama’s political advance. Sure enough, a bit of digging into Obama’s years in the Illinois State Senate indicates strong concern with Acorn’s signature issues, as well as meetings with Acorn and the introduction by Obama of Acorn-friendly legislation on the living wage and banking practices. You begin to wonder whether, in his Springfield days, Obama might have best been characterized as “the Senator from Acorn.”

    “2. Obama gives ACORN $832,000.”

This was a get out the vote in the PRIMARIES. No Republicans involved. Hillary Clinton was the target. This should make every Democrat who supported Bill or Hillary Clinton FURIOUS.

The primary was so close, it’s probable Hillary beat Obama, especially since she won all the later primaries.

If Hillary had been the nominee, she’d be 20 points ahead in this economy. Most of the useful idiots believe Bill Clinton was responsible for the wonderful 90’s economy when, in fact, his tax hikes slowed the economy just as it was taking off. Nevertheless, while I don’t agree with Hillary on much of anything, at least I wouldn’t be worried about my country under a Hillary administration.

  25. Mighty Skipon 16 Oct 2008 at 1:49 pm 25

    Alicar,

Once again, missed the point. The ACORN thing might indeed turn out to be nothing. In past years their activities have not reached the levels they have of this election, probably because one of their own (and I mean a Chicago insider who funnels plenty of money their way) is up for the Presidency.

We won’t know, unfortunately, if voter fraud made a statically significant influence until after the ballots are cast. I realize that some of what being said here seems extreme, but isn’t it at the very least prudent to attack known fraudulent behavior now? After the arrival of our new overlords, we might not get that opportunity.
