Well… that brightened up my day.

James Tiberius Kirk always had a whiff of being a part of the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy.

David Kelley’s lectures make me ill, but I might have to give Boston Legal another chance—–any wonder whyDenny Crane is my parents’ favorite character—dad’s a retired cop.

OK, now there’s two things William Shatner has done that I’ve enjoyed.

This, and of course, “Rocket Man.”

  5. Zundfolgeon 21 Oct 2008 at 12:22 pm 5

Too bad the rest of the show is nothing but wall to wall obnoxious leftist propaganda.

    Good clip though.

  6. Zundfolgeon 21 Oct 2008 at 12:23 pm 6

I also wonder where Shat actually falls on the issue.

  7. ahem!on 21 Oct 2008 at 12:24 pm 7

shatisfaction guaranteed. bronson would be proud.

  8. BillBoneheadon 21 Oct 2008 at 12:35 pm 8

JTK aka Bill Shatner is a lib (from Canada)

  9. Jackon 21 Oct 2008 at 12:42 pm 9

So the truth has been revealed! The Shat is racist and atheist bow-chicka-wow-wow

  10. Keiraon 21 Oct 2008 at 12:58 pm 10

    Oh. Hell. Yeah.

  11. Rodon 21 Oct 2008 at 1:07 pm 11

I hope he has an LTC. :p

    That made my day!

There it is! That’s the stuff!

  15. Tangoon 21 Oct 2008 at 1:51 pm 15

I dont care what his political persuasion is, Shatner still rules.

  16. Zundfolgeon 21 Oct 2008 at 1:54 pm 16

I hope he has an LTC. :p

Is such a thing even possible in Boston? If so its only for the rich and well connected (which Denny Crane clearly is).

  17. T.S.Benchon 21 Oct 2008 at 2:16 pm 17

……I hope he has an LTC. :p

Is such a thing even possible in Boston?…..

Yep. I used to carry all the time when I worked in Boston, usually a PP.

    Regards,
    TSB

  18. Rodon 21 Oct 2008 at 2:35 pm 18

Is such a thing even possible in Boston?…..

I can’t speak for Boston, but out here in the wilds of Worcester county, it isn’t difficult. It is entirely at the discretion of the local Police chiefs, who may set additional requirements above the state requirements.

It isn’t any more expensive than a regular firearms permit-100 bux for six years.

  19. Zundfolgeon 21 Oct 2008 at 2:45 pm 19

Apparently Denny Crane DOESN’T have an LTC and in fact went to court later in that episode hoping to lose so he could take it up to a higher court.

At least that’s according to descriptions of the episode I’ve read elsewhere.

The Shat nearly made me sh*t laughing when I saw this. Damn, I loved it!

    Thanks for the link, DH!

Credit where credit is due time: nice to see Kelley had the guts to go with that scene. I bet some of the crew members weren’t happy about having to help shoot it.

Honestly, I tend to feel that conservatives should behave like the arm candy that most Hollywood producers have experienced: we should be the nicest, sweetest people in the world when we get what we want, and absolute psychobitch sociopaths when we’re being dissed.

This video was quite a treat, if you ask me!

    Hell YA!

  24. ONeilon 21 Oct 2008 at 4:53 pm 24

Was this a dream sequence or something? Not that I wasn’t thrilled by the clip– but the writing doesn’t seem especially good…

  25. Danielon 21 Oct 2008 at 5:39 pm 25

I can see that scene with Gov. Palin & Sen. Biden. Guess who has the guts to pull and use the gun?

  26. Jack Marinoon 21 Oct 2008 at 5:56 pm 26

James T Kirk is back and a blazing

  27. Tom Aricoon 21 Oct 2008 at 7:30 pm 27

The leftist David E Kelly put that on the air??? I’m shocked!!

  28. Supramom2000on 21 Oct 2008 at 7:46 pm 28

Yes, he puts that on the air. Notice the only conservative is a fat, bumbling, old fool who is supposedly concerned with Alzheimers? The only conservative on the show is so over the top he is a charicature. But I admit, the gun scene rocks!!

  29. Stephanieon 21 Oct 2008 at 7:51 pm 29

Hey Supra…am about a third of the way done with Extreme Measures………DAMN ITS GOOD!

  30. Supramom2000on 21 Oct 2008 at 8:11 pm 30

Awesome!! Vince was on Glenn Beck today. I imagine he will be making the rounds this week. I will go buy the book tomorrow. Can’t wait!! I even have my two 16 year old boys hooked on his series. And my dad as well. The one I converted from Obama after hearing about Ayers!!

  31. Ronsonicon 21 Oct 2008 at 9:14 pm 31

    Now that’s gun control!

Yeah, Shat’s a lib, but he knows from funny and funny is almost always conservative.

  32. soulpileon 21 Oct 2008 at 10:21 pm 32

Now THAT made my day a little brighter after watching the drivel that is Eli Stone (for the first time, I might add).

  34. Enderon 22 Oct 2008 at 7:16 am 34

Kelley, a la 30 Rock, throws some conservative bones out every once in a while, but eventually must return to his backslap-earning bashing of us later in the episode to atone.

Biggest problem in my house? Wife loves both Boston Legal AND Eli Stone, so I have to wait til Wednesday to watch my DVR shows.

  35. Zundfolgeon 22 Oct 2008 at 7:32 am 35

Why isn’t Fringe better? I wish it were…

Agreed … I’m hoping the reason is that JJ Abrams didn’t screw Lost like he did Alias by taking his best writers off to the new show (frankly Lost is what killed Alias).

Fringe is just kind of an incoherent mess that is about as well written as “fan fiction”. Sort of a “poor man’s X-Files”.

  36. Mr24pon 22 Oct 2008 at 9:54 am 36

OMG!!! I soooooooo needed that. I literally laughed out loud.

  37. Morganon 22 Oct 2008 at 10:25 am 37

It seems like with William Shatner, he never disappoints. Not in Star Trek, not in the Priceline commercials, and not as Denny Crane.

Thanks, Dirty Harry, for the clip. Hysterical!

  38. edward_mon 22 Oct 2008 at 11:03 am 38

Oh God…I nearly busted a gut laughing.

Don’t matter what his politics, I always like Bill.
