[…] October 29, 2008 Note To LA Times: Some Promises Are Made To Be Broken Posted by mcnorman under Uncategorized | Tags: ayers, dorhn, jewish, Khalidi, LA Times, michelle, Obama, Politico, Said | UPDATE FROM DIRTY HARRY: […]
This story really happened to a friend of a friend of mine:
“I was going into the office of my local newspaper to pay my overdue supscription for the newspaper.
On the way in, I noticed a scruffy guy sitting outside the building with a beggers cup. He had a sign that read, ‘Out of work reporter. Hoping Obama wins so the Fairness Doctrine will get me my job back or at least I’ll get more welfare’.
I chuckled and went in the building.
The woman who was collecting subscription money was wearing an Obama button which gave aware her political preference. So instead of giving her the check I said, ‘It seems you people no longer are interested in reporting real news. So I’m going to offer this check to the out of work reporter outside and see if he has any real news to report.’
So I went outside and gave the check to the reporter who then gave me a video of Obama and Bill Ayers making a collage with pictures of Che and Mao and quotes by Marx and Engels.”
At some point, you would think that the reward would get high enough that the LA Times might want to claim it themselves, just to save a few jobs or delay their bankruptcy a few weeks.
Dirty Harry’s Place publishes a sizable bid by one Aston Grimaldi for a copy of the video of Barack Obama toasting anti-Israel “scholar” and former PLO adviser Rashid Khalidi at his Jew-bashing going away party in 2003. The L.A. Times is resisting …
Where do I donate? I’m sure lots of others would like some place other than the RNC to put some cash.
How about a paypal donation button for this? And one on MM’s site and Hot Air and Townhall?
With the kind of traffic generated on yours and other sites, $5 from everyone wopuld sweeten this offer!!
Aston has ties to the Grimaldi family - I spoke with the organisers of the F1 Grand Prix in Monaco, one of their hedge funds was a sponsor.
The secrecy of the hedge fund world is probably why limited info comes up, a lot of it is regulated by the SEC, which is why they are allowed to have offices in New York. Try looking for BASEL II Accordance and of course Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance.
Unless they were already existing public figures, these characters stay out of the press.
This is what I wrote the LA Times. Think it was too harsh?
As a former journalist, I would like to thank you for holding on to the Barack Obama tape. One thing I learned in journalism school and I later passed on to college interns working at my paper, is no matter what public opinion may be at the time, a newspaper’s role to is suppress news, hide facts from the public, and change the outcome of elections as necessary.
I’m sure you are well aware that this was among the ideals that launched the American Revolution. I’m amazed at Fox News’s lack of understanding this! All one has to do is look at history and it clearly proves that our founders opposed freedom of speech, freedom to own firearms, low taxes and capitalism. But most of all, they loathed a media that was not under the control of political parties.
Once again, thank you for being the sheep that all journalists aspire to be.
it is extremely hard to leave no internet trail. Especially if you carry a famous name. I am not sure if we can be sure that Aston Grimaldi exists and this offer is real.
According to ATLAS SHRUGS WEBSITE Obama reportedly said this at the Khalidi dinner, “Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine” plus there’s been “genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.”
Hedge Fund Offers $150k Reward for Obama/Khalidi Video …
You’ve probably heard the story by now that the Los Angeles Times is sitting on a video that was used as a source for an April article entitled Allies of Palestinians See a Friend in Obama. This issue surfaced over……
That’s exactly why Renaissance Technologies, one of the biggest and most successful of the large quant funds in the world, has this website - www.rentech.com.
Hedge Fund marketing tactics and listing of public information is extremely regulated by the SEC and other financial regulatory authorities. The people I know in the hedge fund space (at least the ones who made incredible returns since SOX compliance) are not even mentioned on the internet.

MysteryManon 29 Oct 2008 at 11:01 am 7Keep suggesting it to Drudge through his “SEND NEWS TIPS TO DRUDGE” text box. The country needs to know the truth about BHO.

Naturally I assume that many others did so as well.

McDigon 29 Oct 2008 at 11:58 am 11What do we know about Aston Grimaldi? Take a look at the Dune Capital Employee contributions for 2008 cycle, leans pretty heavily to the left:

it´s rentec.com - no h - but I get your point. That site is as minimalist as can be. Well, if Mr. Grimaldi is for real he´s famous now.
Telloon 29 Oct 2008 at 2:38 pm 19I heard he has a publicist that keeps him out of the press… I guess we will see what happens
