Brilliant spoof of those oh-so spoofable, condescending, liberal Hollywood, aren’t we clever with our DON’T VOTE message videos.

Well done, written and acted. Cutting, because it’s true.

    LOL! Well done! Bravo!

Hilarious, although I think its best quality is its brevity, something those ridiculous “vote” Hollywood ads missed, which just go on and on and on…..

    Brilliant.

It was funny, but went on a bit too long (who knows, maybe that was part of the joke.)

  7. Shawn Streeton 31 Oct 2008 at 7:52 am 7

I loved it. The length of it almost matched the original so it was part of the joke.

  8. JimmyCon 31 Oct 2008 at 7:53 am 8

Great video- and I love that it was made by JACK FM, easily the best rock station in the Seattle area.

  9. Danon 31 Oct 2008 at 7:56 am 9

The going on and on and on thing is part of the joke. I’m sad I had to explain it.

I’m pretty sure the reason why those silly ads are so long–apart from thinking long means serious–is so that they can adequately show everyone who is in it.

So, you need to balance out the Sam Jackson with the Forrest Whitaker in some kind of latter day political version of the whole “The Towering Inferno” credit solution, where they had to put Steve McQueens name to the left of Paul Newman’s but had Paul Newman’s name above Steve McQueen.

    Like this:

    Paul Newman
    Steve McQueen

    Or was it the reverse?

But, it’s all about ego and making sure that ego is adequately shown.

Even if it’s a PSA for Obama, er, non-partisan voting.

I am awaiting the two-disc Blu-Ray edition with deleted outtakes.

Oh, well, the way I wrote Steve McQueen and Paul Newman didn’t display correctly.

So, I’ll add some characters that you can just imagine aren’t there.

    It was something like this:

    —————————Paul Newman
    Steve McQueen

    Just remove the dashes.

Technically, it’s still Steve McQueen getting top billing. He was the bigger star at the time.

    Happy Halloween!

Great stuff. Actors are rich, famous and pretty they MUST know what their talking about.

    “And she’s even GAY!”

I almost spit my coffee on the screen.

I’m not sure I prefer hateful to condescending. Just saying.

And boy, am I glad Jack FM sucked the big one in New York, and they brought back oldies station CBS FM, which it failed to supplant.

HARRY HERE: Hateful? Come on, Glenn. It never once moves beyond ‘biting.’ Good grief.

    Thanks Hollywood!…

I would have never decided to vote without your non-sarcastic, highly-intelligent, supremely beautiful encouragement!

    Harry-
It’s both hateful and raaaaaaaaaaaisst. Obviously, because it is oppositional to democrat thinking.

Seriously, well done. Unfortunately, Hollywood isn’t bright enough to catch on.

Liked it, but it is far too long.

This video is hate speech. I’m contacting the FCC and my local authorities. Somebody has to stand up for actors.

Hey JimmyC, I thought it was Seattle at first too, but that’s 96.5. This is 96.3, which is Nashville.

    Very funny and clever.

I was planning to vote (like I have every since I was 18), but after I seeing those “Don’t Vote” commercials time after time, it actually made me NOT want to vote!

But I did, but not because Spiderman told me to vote.
