Greg Knapp: Obama Campaigns Likes It’s 1984 — And The Media Lets Him

Perfect timing for this piece, on a day when Obama kicks the only skeptical newspapers out there off his campaign plane. Yes, I realize McCain’s frozen out certain reporters and publications, but that was due to direct hit pieces on him and his family, and were McCain to clear out all skeptical journalists that would be one empty plane. And Obama, per the usual, is lying about his decision.
Greg Knapp perfectly deconstructs the media narratives this campaign season which those who are still welcome on the plane have kept on the straight and scary — unless, of course, you’re Bill Ayers’ friend.
Watching a Senator Barack Obama worship service — I mean campaign rally stop — almost makes me wonder why I’m not voting for him. Will he really begin to “heal the planet” and slow the rise of the oceans? Can all of these devoted disciples of The One be wrong?

Excuse me for not taking part in the Obamagasms but this election is looking a lot more like 1984 instead of 2008. The Ministry of Truth keeps telling us what is okay to believe about Obama and that his words don’t really mean what they do. News outlets are banned from interviewing the candidate, citizens are investigated for asking questions, websites are scrubbed of controversial information and potentially embarrassing video tapes are kept under wraps. I understand this sounds a little Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, but hear me out. …
Reporters, such as Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd, explain that we have always had a progressive tax system and that is not socialism.
Our progressive tax system has always been on the edge of socialism. Obama wants to run it off the cliff. He is stipulating the purpose of the tax system is to take money from some and give it to others. That is a socialist idea Karl Marx would be proud of.
Obama’s connections to people who agree with socialist ideas include William Ayres, Reverend Wright, Father Phleger, Frank Marshall Davis, and Michael Klonsky.
Klonsky is a self-described communist who agrees with Ayres that the classroom is a perfect place to teach socialist ideas. (One step at a time, I guess.) The official Obama website had a blog run by Klonsky until another blogger brought up his radical history. Team Obama then scrubbed the website clean of any references to Klonsky and now it’s all down the memory hole.
We all heard Obama explain to Joe the plumber how his tax plan will “spread the wealth around.” Yet, when Senator Joe Biden was asked about that by a WFTV Orlando newscaster, Barbara West, Biden said, “He is not spreading the wealth around.”

The media will not report it. So a majority of Americans, the ones who are not on the internet for their information, will never know the truth.
They will be told what the truth is.
I honestly don’t know what recourse there is. We have to win this election or we are in very big trouble. Is there any doubt that once the Democrats are in power that the system will be changed to favor them even more for 2010 and 2012?
There may not be any going back for a very long time.

The msm is losing viewers and readers. People are aware of the bias more than any other year.
The Democrats couldn’t retain control in 1980 or 2000 and if they screw up like everyone assumes they will they will lose control again. They are not smart enough to run this country.

When I heard he’d already chosen his Cabinet members and was making news organizations pay for choice spots to hear his ‘acceptance speech’, the first thing I thought of was my foster mother in Arizona. Two months ago, I phoned her about what she thought of Obama in Germany?
Without hestitation - I mean, her reaction was instant - she said ‘arrogant’. She was totally disgusted.
So I just have to believe that if a couple of Sieg Heils pissed voters off - then Cabinet appointments and shaking down news organizations is so NOT going to make it any better.

Check this out at American Thinker. Very encouraging and looks real. Check out the video put out by a “progressive Pennsylvania” group. Tremendous lines of folks to go see Sarah who are jeering and mocking the stupid hippies. The video is meant to show how bad the conservatives are - but it had the opposite effect. Cheered me up and has got to be very demoralizing to any leftard who sees it. Enjoy!

I think there is a reality they won’t say publicaly but I think that little email posted on Thinker is more true of many areas than people would want to believe.
I am sitting here in my red suit dressed as Sarah Palin and getting a lot of laughs and responses good ones from parents of trick or treaters. Its hilarious.
